Aufbaukurs Literature is intended to complement and deepen the knowledge acquired in Grundkurs Literature. The seminar is an introduction to literary theory, in which the new theoretical knowledge is applied critically to exemplary primary texts. Please note that the Aufbaukurs therefore entails a relatively heavy reading load – in addition to the primary texts, you will have to read theoretical articles. You should therefore have finished reading Titus Andronicus and Dracula by the beginning of summer term.
