- Das PS Linguistics gehört in folgendenStudiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:

Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien (neu): Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics)
Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen (neu): Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)
- Inhalt
- The course aims to examine the status of English globally in order to establish whether English is, indeed, a universal language. We will begin with a review of the history of the spread of the English language to different corners of the globe, including some of the problems related to the wide dispersion of the language. We will then have a look at the various varieties of English in different parts of the world, starting with the British Isles, followed by Inner Circle, Outer Circle and Expanding Circle (Kachru) varieties. The course will conclude with a critical review of the role of English as a global language and possible scenarios for the future.
