- Der Kurs zur Sprachgeschichte gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
- Inhalt
- This class offers an overview of the history of the English language.We will look at certain linguistic aspects, such as phonology, morphology, syntax and lexis, and retrace the key developments from the Old English through to the Modern English period. By way of illustration, we will read short period texts to complement the theoretical background.
Students attending this class should be prepared to give short presentations on selected topics. They are also expected to do short exercises at home and present them in front of the class.
