BA English and American Studies (neu): Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul)
Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien (neu): Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics)
Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen (neu): Vertiefungsmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)
- Inhalt
- This course will provide an overview of the curriculum and the current course books and learners' grammars used at Bavarian grammar and secondary schools. We will then focus on various aspects in phonetics and phonology, syntax and grammar, morphology and phraseology and analyse and discuss possible problems – in particular those that are relevant issues in teaching English as a foreign language. In addition, topics like Shakespeare’s English, English as a global language, New Englishes, pidgin and creole languages, as well as monolingual / bilingual / online dictionaries that might be used in class will be presented and discussed.
This course is especially intended for students who want to hand in a written paper.
