- Das PS Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies (neu): Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul) Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien (neu): Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics) Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen (neu): Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)
- Inhalt
- This course will deal with the meaning of words and other linguistic elements from a variety of perspectives, e.g.:
What is meaning? How can it be described? In which ways can words be related to each other?
It will also address questions of how language is used in different contexts in communication, e.g.:
What happens when sentences are uttered in particular situations? Are there any rules that govern conversation?
You will gain an insight into the most famous semantic and pragmatic theories and models, such as the semiotic triangle, prototype theory or speech act theory.
