- Das Oberseminar Linguistics gehört in folgendenStudiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies: Hauptmodul B
Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien: Optionsmodul
MA English Studies: Modul 6AB
MA Linguistik: Modul 2/4
This seminar is open to everybody taking an interest in language acquisition and argument structure and for all students who wish to write a thesis (Zulassungsarbeit, BA- oderMA-Arbeit) in linguistics. Participants are requested to enrole in Prof. Herbst's office hours.
- Inhalt
- This seminar will concentrate on questions of argument structure and language acquisition. It is intended as a discussion group for advanced students of English and/or linguistics interested in the topic.
In the first week we will have the opportunity of discussing issues of language acquisition with Prof. Ewa Dabrowska, who will give a plenary talk at the conference of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kognitive Linguistik held at Erlangen in the week before term starts. If you are interested in attending this conference, please contact Dr. Peter Uhrig or me.
The main emphasis of our discussions will be on the acquisition of argument structure constructions.
