- Inhalt
- Popular entertainments in Victorian times include melodrama and the music hall, exhibitions of paintings and early films, other visual attractions such as panoramas and dioramas, popular romances and sensational novels, and the consumption of popular things. We will consider these and discuss the question of what exactly constitutes “the popular” in the 19th century – and for whom. Literary and Cultural Studies. Lehramtsstudierende welcome.
