- Der AK Culture gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies (neu): Basismodul IV Culture. (Keine Zulassungsvoraussetzung, empfohlen nach dem Besuch des GK)
Requirements: Participants are required to contribute to class discussions and are asked to present a paper.

- Course description:
AK Culture extends the knowledge and skills acquired in GK Culture and is structured along the lines of cultural theory, cultural history and cultural analysis; the course also comprises case studies drawing on diverse media to deepen the respective approaches and will deal with the following general topics: Power and Ideology, Empire, and Interculturality. The course primarily focuses on Great Britain, the USA will be taken into account in an exemplary way in some of the case studies.
