- Der GK Culture mit Projektgruppen gehört infolgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies (neu): Basismodul IV Culture. (Keine Zulassungsvoraussetzung)
Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien (neu): Basismodul IV Culture. (Keine Zulassungsvoraussetzung)
- Inhalt
- "Grundkurs Culture" provides a first theoretical and practical insight into the field of contemporary cultural studies, putting special emphasis on possible definitions of culture and on the different theoretical approaches and terminologies used in cultural analysis. The course introduces students to a selection of widely-used theoretical concepts in cultural studies, such as gender, race, myth, mediality, identity and alterity, or consumption thereby, providing students with the basic vocabulary and tools in the field.
Requirements and Assignments:
preparation and attendance; project work and group presentation; written exam (90 minutes). "Grundkurs Culture," as part of Basismodul IV Culture, is mandatory for BA English and American Studies and Lehramt Gymnasium.
