- Inhalt
- The subject of this course is the major Daoist self-cultivation practices and their doctrinal foundations. We shall read and discuss representative passages drawn from sources of different traditions and dates. The main subjects are meditation, alchemy (external and internal), and various techniques often classified as "yangsheng" (Cultivation of Life), including daoyin and breathing. During the course, we shall try to establish the extents to which these techniques have a specific Daoist nature, and what is their relation to other forms of doctrine and practice in Daoism.
