Contents
IntEconII is an advanced graduate seminar in international economics intended for students who have previously taken IntEconI or have the consent of the instructor. The course is designed to introduce a selection of current policy issues in international economics and to provide an opportunity for students to apply models to which they have been exposed in previous work. Each student is expected, individually or as part of a team of max. 3 students, to take one of the weekly topics and to deliver a 15 pages seminar paper one week before the date of his / her presentation. (Teams of two students deliver 20 pages; teams of three students 25 pages). In addition to their own presentation of 20-30 minutes, students are expected to deliver a short critique to one of the other paper presentations. The seminar paper should attempt to provide a complete and convincing answer to the question posed by the week’s topic. It shouldn’t simply survey and synthesize the views in the literature, but have an original research component.
