The financial crisis of 2008 has had a strong negative impact on global incomes. Behind this background, this seminar aims to explain why financial institutions are important determinants of economic development, and sheds light on the conditions under which inappropriate financial institutions are harmful. The seminar discusses predominantly empirical papers on related topics, considering both cross-country experiences and single case studies.
Basic Information:
Papers should not be longer than 15 pages (the limit for team work is 25 pages) Assignment of topics: 27.01.2013, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., room 00.14 PSG Deadline for submissions: 24.04.2014 Presentations (30 minutes):
