- Das Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul gehört zum Studiengang BA English and American Studies (neu).
Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Erfolgreicher Abschluss der Grundlagen- und Orientierungsprüfung. Dieses spezielle Thematische Kombinationsmodul Medialität kann in den Studienrichtungen British Studies, Cultural Studies, General Studies oder Linguistics belegt werden.
- Inhalt
- This interdisciplinary module will explore British TV and film from the perspectives of both cultural studies and linguistics. A focus will be on British broadcast TV: We will analyse selected episodes of three "Britcoms" - Fawlty Towers, Absolutely Fabulous, Coupling – and the BBC-miniseries Pride and Prejudice. In addition, we will look at a film, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.Two sessions (4 hours) each week.
