- Das PS Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies (neu): Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul) Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien (neu): Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics) Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen (neu): Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)
- Inhalt
- In this seminar we will focus on the sounds of the English language. We will learn how to describe the sounds of English and how to transcribe words and sentences. We will deal with pronunciation dictionaries as well as questions like: what kind of processes are at work in connected speech, which accents there are in English and how you can describe these accents. The discussion of historical, contrastive and gender aspects of English sounds will also be part of this seminar.
