Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
Das GS Culture mit Projektgruppen gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:

  • BA English and American Studies (neu): Basismodul IV Culture. (Keine Zulassungsvoraussetzung)

  • Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien (neu): Basismodul IV Culture. (Keine Zulassungsvoraussetzung)

Inhalt
GK Culture provides a first insight into the field of contemporarycultural studies, putting special emphasis on possible definitions ofculture and on the different approaches and methods of culturalanalysis. The course also introduces students to special topics suchas media studies, constructions of otherness, the role of myths inthe production of social meaning, gender studies.
Requirements and Assignments: preparation and attendance; project work and grouppresentation; written exam (90 minutes).
