Inhalt
This course takes a closer look at management and organization theories. In particular, we use the specificities of organizations driven by a social or environmental mission. We use them to gain insights into why organizations exit, how they function and how they interact with each other. We will address theories such as transaction cost theory, agency theory or theories of entrepreneurship. By studying management and organizations theories from the perspective of mission-driven organization helps us to better understand the potential conflict of diverse interests i.e. simultaneously creating financial, social, and environmental value. These insights provide insights into many issues that companies face when implementing sustainability strategies.
