Inhalt:

In the mandatory safety instruction, the students learn to identify potential hazards and work safely in a laboratory environment. In the lab courses, the students apply the knowledge gained in the modules M1-M4 to perform experiments and analyse and summarize their results in a written report.

Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

Students who successfully participate in this module can • identify potential hazards in laboratory environments • safely work with laboratory equipment • apply theoretical concepts from materials science and engineering as well as chemical and bioengineering to experimental settings • analyse and discuss experimental data • compose structured lab reports • solve experimental challenges as a team

Every experiment of the practical course is accompanied by a protocol, which is not graded, but proof of attendance is given and required to successfully finish the course and module.
Attendance is compulsory. A binding admission requirement for the internship is the participation in the associated safety instructions. Mandatory participation requirement for each individual internship attempt is the successful completion of the preliminary protocol (Antestat). You will be admitted to the examination if you have successfully completed all tests as well as all pre- and post-tests, i.e. if you have handed in the completely filled out certificate card with proof of the pre- and post-tests (antestat) as well as the test and post-test reports (Abtestat) to your supervisor in due time.
