Focusing English Skills

A Schein from each of the courses Focusing English Skills A and Focusing English Skills B - is highly recommended for the Allgemeine Zertifikatsprüfung UNIcert® III. At least one of these courses must be taken.
Both the Focusing English Skills courses are intended as preparation courses for the UNIcert® III examination and should preferably be the third and fourth course attended by students who plan to take the UNIcert® examination. The main focus in both courses is to improve oral and writing skills within an academic framework by practising the four main areas of writing tested in the exam and by training listening comprehension and oral skills.
Beginning students who are already very proficient in English because they have had experience of English-speaking countries or because they have scored 75% or more in the Einstufungstest can take one of these courses without having passed any previous language exams but we strongly recommend that the majority of students start with English Language Skills courses to revise vocabulary and structures before taking these courses which focus much more on language production. |
