Obligatory attendance to four extra sessions of live poetry readings on Wednesday afternoons (17:00-18:30).
The sessions of live poetry readings are open to all students interested in contemporary poetry.
Proseminar/Mittelseminar is part of the following study programs:
- Contents
- In this seminar we will explore and go beyond boundaries. Language barriers, publishing boundaries, and gender transgression are just some of the borderline topics we will discover. As experts and practitioners in these fields, we are inviting four contemporary poets to share and discuss their poetry with us. The following questions will be our concern: Is poetry translatable? What are potential difficulties or opportunities when translating literary works? What are new ways of publishing poetry beyond books? Which platforms attract poetry readers? What is the target group? What are taboo topics of today’s society? What are ways to express non-conformity?

- Reading list will be distributed in the first session. Texts and poems will be available via StudOn.
