Contents
In this seminar we will consider the formation, negotiation, and subversion of gender roles in the Victorian period. To do so, we will consider various cultural representations of femininity and masculinity. The focus of the seminar will be on the discussion of literary negotiations of Victorian gender roles in canonical Victorian novels and poetry.
