- Internationale Organisationen (IOs) wie die Vereinten Nationen, die Weltgesundheitsorganisation, der Internationale Währungsfond und die Weltbank(gruppe), oder die Welthandelsorganisation spielen eine zentrale Rolle beim Regieren jenseits des Nationalstaates (Global Governance). Das Seminar führt theoriegleitet in die Entstehungsbedingungen, Entwicklung und Funktionsweisen von internationalen Organisationen ein und gibt einen Überblick über zentrale Politikfelder ihrer Aktivität. Darüber hinaus werden zentrale Probleme bezüglich der Autonomie, Effektivität und Legitimität von internationalen Organisationen diskutiert.
