- Inhalt
- This course guides students into an intriguing and powerful aspect of China’s propaganda campaign: patriotic films. By viewing and analyzing seven representative works (together with other movie clips), from The Opium War in 1997 to Nanking! Nanking! in 2008, we will look into the complexity of Chinese national identity and collective memories, whose construction has been interwoven with historical myth and political reality.
